Position Overview
We are seeking a vibrant, high-energy, and deeply people-oriented Team Lead to join our team on-site in Port of Spain. As a Team Lead, you will be the heartbeat of our daily operations. Key Responsibilities
- Daily Operational Leadership: Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day workflow of the office, ensuring all travel logistics, client files, and educational service inquiries are processed accurately and efficiently.
- Team Guidance & Motivation: Act as a hands-on leader for the local team. Conduct daily huddles, assign operational tasks, manage schedules, and provide continuous support to ensure the team hits their performance targets.
- Customer Excellence: Cultivate a welcoming, client-first environment. Step in to assist team members with complex client scenarios, ensuring that every individual who interacts with OnPoint receives world-class service.
- Process Improvement: Monitor daily workflows to identify bottlenecks. Work closely with upper management to implement efficient processes that enhance the client experience and team productivity.
- Training & Development: Mentor and onboard new team members, instilling OnPoint’s core values, service standards, and operational protocols.
- Reporting: Keep track of daily operational metrics and provide regular updates to senior leadership regarding team performance, client feedback, and operational needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A True "People Person": Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. You must genuinely enjoy engaging with people, building relationships, and fostering a positive team culture.
- Proven Leadership Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a team lead, supervisory, or senior operational role, preferably within the travel, hospitality, education consultancy, or customer service sectors.
- Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to multi-task, prioritize daily operational tasks under pressure, and keep a team organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-Solving Mindset: A proactive approach to handling daily operational hurdles with grace, tact, and efficiency.
- Geographic Alignment: Must be based in or within easy commuting distance of Port of Spain and able to work 100% on-site.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with modern office software, CRM systems, and travel/educational platforms.
